Mardi Gras aka Pancake Day aka Shrove Tuesday, the day before Lent (which means Spring).........It's not Spring time here.... we're quite out of sync. Let's opt out of the calender for the northern hemisphere, it doesn't really suit us at all!Have a whinge! Hot Cross Buns (traditionally for Friday of Easter) were put out on sale weeks ago just after Christmas. Well, so much for that little custom. Every event is a sales target.
